Shortcuts for apps and plugins on your Chromebook are automatically installed in the app launcher (also called the Shelf) when they are first downloaded, giving users a very convenient way to access their favorite downloads. Unfortunately, your favorite websites don't show up there automatically.
Fortunately, you can add your favorites to this window, as long as you know how.
1. Open the webpage in Chrome, such as ESPN.com, the example I'm using here.
2. Click the Menu icon.
3. Select More Tools.
4. Click Add to shelf.
You've added a shortcut to the shelf (also known as the app launcher!)

A shortcut to that user's Chrome should now display on your desktop.
*Note: you will need to manually switch (sign-in) to each account, so that it is the Máté Juhász
(current) account in the user list (people) in order to be able to click on edit, and edit that account.*Note: you will need to sign in with at least two accounts in order to see the 'Add shortcut' option. -To add one manually (why? But it's your choice): tech-recipes.com

The website that you create the shortcut for in Google Chrome will also have a shortcut of the website placed in the Chrome Apps folder in the All Apps lists in the Start Menu. Also, these websites are added to your Chrome Apps page (chrome://apps) in Google Chrome. These Shortcuts are stored in the following location:

Install Google Icon On Desktop
Thankfully, the process is very simple: just navigate to a Web site you want extra-fast access to, and then click the wrench icon near the top right-hand corner of the Chrome window. From there, pick Tools and then select Create application shortcuts.
In the pop-up window that appears, pick the places you'd like to have a shortcut for the current Web site. The Taskbar pin is probably the fastest choice, and saves your wallpaper from being decorated with extra icons.
Click Create and the favicon for the Web site will appear in the chosen places. That's it!
